Managing family and work

With all the creating going around at my house sometimes I have to step back and see that I need to have some other fun.  I love being able to create and sell items for people to create with but sometimes I need to stop and spend time with the family.  It is the little moments that matter and make up all the big moments.  I am currently engaged and about to start planning for a wedding in September.  I also have a 16 month old little girl running around my house.  She is crazy and the joy of my life.
Here she is helping mommy get ready for christmas! I love being able to hang out with her and have some fun.
She wanted to help test out the lights and make sure they work.  It's these little moments that I miss out on when I get to caught up in my own work.  This is why I try to balance it all out.  The first thing I do is set aside time to do something, just the two of us each day.  If that is just going outside and playing with the dogs or teaching her to bang on the pots and pans in the kitchen.  Doesn't matter I just find something for us to do each day.  This doesn't mean I don't do a lot with her besides this one thing but I do work 50 plus hours a week at my day job.  So sometimes there really is only time for one thing each day.
I also hate her seeing me sit on a computer all through the day, so I save things that involve the computer for when she is napping or already in bed.  This way she doesn't see me just playing on the computer all day.  I want her to have fun and get outside sometimes.  It takes a lot of control to balance everything in my life and get it all done.  I can't seem to ever get everything done but that is okay as long as I get to spend time playing with my daughter.
